To celebrate Emirati Women's Day on August 28, the Dubai Women Establishment (DWE) will host a series of virtual seminars.
Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of State for Advanced Technology, President of the UAE Space Agency, and Science Lead of the Emirates Mars Mission, will address the inaugural session on Wednesday. She will highlight women's achievements in the space sector and the important role they played in the UAE's pioneering Hope probe mission to Mars that was launched in July.
Called 'DWEbinars', the seminars will feature prominent local and international figures including ministers, officials, senior executives from the public and private sectors, and business leaders. The DWE will hold a webinar once in two weeks.
They will feature inspirational success stories and discuss topics across various fields, including women's participation post Covid-19, leadership in crisis, social and mental well-being, among others.
Shamsa Saleh, CEO of the DWE, said the initiative reflects the efforts of Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Gender Balance Council and President of the DWE, in supporting women, enhancing their capabilities, and furthering their active participation across all fields.
The webinars will be open to the general public via the Dubai Ladies Club social media handles.
