As many as 9,326 virtual meetings were held by the Dubai Police employees for 3,118 hours during the National Sterilisation Programme, according to a top official.
Brigadier Khalid Nasser Al Razoouqi, director of artificial intelligence (AI) department at the Dubai Police, said the virtual meetings began at the end of March until June 1, where employees discussed details of their field missions and completed tasks remotely.
"They used artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to stay safe at home while fulfilling their daily tasks, holding online meetings via "Skype for Business" application, as well as supervising the field operations of frontline workers and other employees across the police sectors," he said.
"As per AI Strategic Plan of Dubai Police (2018-2021), we had been working consistently for the last two months to develop, upgrade and provide services to enable employees to work efficiently," he added.
The number of smart transactions made since the end of March till Mid May reached 612,147, said Brig Al Razouqi. "These include 234,194 transactions processed via the Dubai Police smart application and 377,953 processed through the website."
