The Dubai Tourism shut down five venues and fined 15 others in one week for flouting Covid safety rules.

The closure orders and fines were issued from January 16-23 for not adhering to precautionary measures aimed at limiting the spread of Covid-19.
This came as authorities across the emirate stepped up Covid safety inspections.
The Dubai Economy also announced on Tuesday that it had fined 14 businesses for not adhering to the precautionary measures. No closure orders were issued on the day.
