The Dubai Civil Defence has carried out 100 per cent of sterilisation in all Dubai areas as per the plan, Al Bayan reported on Tuesday. The operation was conducted following highest international standards, while using 75,000 liters of sterilising substances every day since the beginning of the national sterilisation programme.
Brig Ali Hassan Al Mutawa, assistant director-general for fire and rescue at Dubai Civil Defence, said that some areas will be resterilised after normal activities are restored, including Naif, Al-Ras and workers' accommodations.
Al Mutawa pointed out that the civil defence is using huge trucks that move quickly to ensure spraying of all targeted areas with the sterilising materials.
The sterilisation programme was carried out in every nook and corner, including all roads, establishments and buildings, outer rest areas and workers' accommodations in Al Qouz, Jebel Ali and Al Muheisnah, Al Mutawa said. He added that a number of different kinds of vehicles were used in the operation based on the areas across the emirate of Dubai.
He urged the public to follow the directives of the authorities and stay home from 10pm to 6am to ensure their own safety.
