Abdullah Bu Ali, Director of the Department of Human and Financial Resources, Ministry of Health Society, said the employees were vaccinated at the SPWD's main headquarters in Nasiriyah area.

He added that, over the past two days, the department made a list of employees who wished to receive the jab and ensured that they met the requirements for taking the vaccine.

With staff members who fell into the vulnerable category — especially engineers, observers and those working in field jobs — he noted that the vaccine would be a constructive step towards bringing work and life back to normal.

Staff were instructed to continue adhering to preventive measures even after receiving the vaccination.

Bu Ali stressed the keenness of the Ministry of Health to raise community awareness on the importance of taking the Covid-19 jab.

He also appreciated the efforts of authorities to organise the campaign, which would contribute to maintaining the safety of employees and workers.
