High taxes, rising prices and rents, and fewer opportunities in those countries are prompting many to return to the Emirates, say experts
The Covid-19 vaccination booth at The Galleria Mall, Al Maryah Island is now open to all residents wanting to take the jab. The facility supports the national vaccination programme, officials announced on Monday.
The Galleria Al Maryah Island management said the opening up of the vaccination booth is part of their dedication to providing a safe environment for the community.
The onsite Covid-19 vaccination booth operated by Mubadala Health is open to the public from Sunday to Thursday 10am – 7pm.
Located on the Concourse level near Waitrose, the booth administers the UAE government approved Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine free of charge.
The opening of the vaccination booth joined the existing PCR testing facility operated by Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Centre (ADSCC) which opened late last year.
“This announcement reinforces The Galleria’s commitment to health and safety by making critical services accessible to the community,” officials said in statement.
The centre operates on an appointment only basis to ensure social distancing.
Appointments can be made by emailing: mcv@telemed.ae. An eligibility survey will be administered before the first appointment is confirmed.
The second appointment will be made on-site after the first shot has been administered.
Officials said the new vaccine centre, is currently open to UAE citizens and residents 16 years of age or older.
Patients must present a valid Emirates ID and have the AlHosn app downloaded on their mobiles.
Vitals will be taken prior to administering the vaccine, and individuals will be observed afterwards for a few minutes for any reactions.
