1484 By Puro on Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah — named for its height of 1,484 metres above sea level — was launched as the country's highest F&B offering in October last year.
"In light of the strengthened restrictions put in place to ensure the wellbeing of all visitors to Ras Al Khaimah, and in our ongoing pursuit to ensure that our guests have the best possible experience, we have decided to temporarily close 1484 By Puro on Jebel Jais," the restaurant said in a press statement.
"We see this as an opportune time to enhance our offering and reconfigure and expand the space to create an even more memorable dining experience," it added.
The restaurant noted that it would offer guests an outdoor pop-up dining experience "in an equally spectacular location" as an alternative in the interim.
The site would be "ideal for social distancing" and will run until the new, more expansive space is finalised and ready to re-welcome guests.
The popular dining attraction noted that it would be moving the Toroverde Adventure Center to a temporary spot as well, so not to "disturb Jebel Jais Flight customers while the work is taking place".
