Authorities in Dubai announced the closure of two outlets on Thursday for violation of Covid safety measures put in place to limit the spread of the pandemic.

A shisha cafe in Oud Metha and a salon in Naif area were the two establishments ordered shut for non-compliance with health and safety protocols.
The closures came as part of daily field inspections carried out by Dubai Municipality.
The authority further announced it had issued eight fines and 15 warnings as part of 2,274 inspections it carried out on Thursday.
The total commitment rate of establishment towards Covid precautionary measures was 99 per cent, it added.
