The UAE has vaccinated 88,743 residents against Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
The country's Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) said the total doses administered now stands at 1.97 million. This takes the rate of doses per 100 people to 19.93.
On Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Prevention announced a revision in the minimum age required to get the Covid vaccine. UAE citizens and residents aged 16 years and above are now welcome to get the jab.

Meanwhile, private school educators and their families in the Capital received the vaccine at their respective schools on Sunday as part of the nationwide campaign to protect the UAE community from the ongoing pandemic.
