Liverpool left some key players out of their starting line-up for Sunday's 3-1 win at Fulham
The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced that 80,683 people have got a coronavirus vaccine over the last 24 hours, bringing to 1,167,251 the total number of shots taken so far across the nation.
The campaign recorded a distribution rate of 11.8 doses per 100 people, which is just second behind Israel globally.
This initiative is in line with UAE's plan to vaccinate more than 50 per cent of the country's population.
The ministry has been working with the country's health authorities for the National Vaccination Programme, and is encouraging citizens and residents to 'choose to vaccinate' in order to protect the nation and beat the pandemic.
Meanwhile, churches have joined the UAE's National Vaccination Programme. Over the weekend, St Joseph’s Cathedral in Abu Dhabi facilitated the vaccination of 7,000 people. More churches will be offering the jabs to members of the community in the coming weeks.
