Covid-19 rules: Dubai shuts down establishments for violations

The Dubai Municipality (DM) has shut four establishments and warned 33 other entities for not abiding by the precautionary measures for Covid-19 in the emirate.

The closures include two fitness centres that allowed overcrowding, the municipality said, adding that one was in the Trade Centre area while the other situated in Al Ramool area. The two other establishments faced closure are salons.


The municipality has strengthened its inspection campaigns on establishments to ensure they follow safety precautionary measures.

The total commitment rate from establishments has reached 98 per cent and the number of inspection visits by the municipality reached 2,443.
