Dubai: Qatar's Ministry of Public Health on Friday announced 126 new coronavirus confirmed cases, bringing the total number of infections to 1,075, according to the Qatar News Agency.
The ministry added that there have been 21 recoveries from the virus, making a total of 93 recovered patients.
It said there are 979 Covid-19 patients being treated across the country's hospitals, while more than 28,413 tests have been undertaken with only three confirmed deaths to date.
"Some new cases are related to travellers who came to Qatar and others related to contacts," QNA said in a tweet.
Qatar has closed all non-vital businesses until further notice as part of the country's bid to combat the spread of the coronavirus. Essential sectors like supermarkets and pharmacies remain open.
