The Municipality and Planning Department of Ajman (MPDA) authorities have shut down 33 food establishments that failed to comply with health regulations and precautionary norms to keep the spread of SARS-CoV-2, which causes Covid-19, infections at bay.
Khaled Muin Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector, MPDA, said the preparations and arrangements for the upcoming Holy month of Ramadan has been completed.

The civic authorities have announced that they would issue four circulars regarding the enforcement of precautionary norms in cooperation with strategic partners and the Crisis and Disaster Management Team in the northern emirate.
Al Hosani said the civic authorities have conducted 3,168 inspections to date.
Data showed that 400 warnings were issued, 106 violations came to light and 33 food outlets were shut down for non-compliance with precautionary norms related to Covid-19.
