Dubai Municipality on Thursday ordered seven establishments to shut shop for failure to adhere to mandatory precautionary measures put in place to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the emirate.

A total of 2,287 inspections were carried out yesterday, according to the authority.
Additionally, 20 outlets were issued warnings, and 4 others were fined.
The city has been cracking down on establishments and individuals flouting Covid-19 rules amid a surge in daily Covid infections.
Dubai Economy on Thursday also reported issuing fines to six outlets for failing to abide by mandatory precautionary measures put in place to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the emirate.
The authority noted that the fines were issued during its daily inspection tours yesterday.
A further two outlets were also issued warnings for non-compliance.
No closures were recorded, according to the inspection report.
Members of the public have been encouraged to report violations they see.
