The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Friday reported 2,250 cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 1,736 recoveries and 9 deaths.

The new cases were detected through 239,525 additional tests.
Over 33.3 million tests have been conducted in the UAE to date to combat the spread of Covid-19.
The total number of cases in UAE as on March 12 are 422,246 while total recoveries stand at 401,539. The death toll rises to 1,378.
The Pfizer and BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine may provide early protection against the virus, as early as 12 days after the first dose, Pfizer’s cluster lead for the Gulf region, Lindsey Dietschi told Khaleej Times.
