The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Saturday reported 1,121 cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 1,295 recoveries. Five deaths were also recorded.
As many as 143,991 new Covid-19 tests were carried out, taking the total to nearly 13.18 million tests so far.
The UAE recorded 96.8 per cent recovery rate of Covid-19 patients and also achieved a recovery rate of 96.7 per cent and mortality rate of 0.5 per cent, the lowest in the world. The authorities have also called on residents to obtain information from its official sources and not to circulate rumours or news issued by fake accounts. The Mohap has denied rumours circulating on social media about treatment advice for those experiencing Covid-19 symptoms. The rumours include taking various vitamins daily or weekly, without contacting governmental health authorities.
