Coronavirus: India's home minister Amit Shah tests positive for Covid-19

The minister has been admitted to the hospital.

India's union home minister Amit Shah has tested positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus.

In a tweet on Sunday afternoon, the minister said he showed some symptoms for the infection, following which he got himself tested.

"I am doing fine, but getting admitted to the hospital after consulting the doctors," Shah said in a tweet in Hindi.

He also urged those who came in contact with him over the past few days to get themselves tested for the infection.
