Community leaders, senior officials and businessmen have contributed Dh3 million to the 'Together We Are Good' programme launched by the Authority of Social Contribution - Ma'an.
Through the initiative, residents can support the Abu Dhabi Government's efforts to address the current health and economic challenges arising from the Covid-19 outbreak.
Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, the UAE's former Minister of State for Tolerance, and businessman Khalil Mohamed Foulathi, contributed Dh1 million each.
Mubarak Rashed Al Mansoori, governor of the UAE Central Bank, and Rashed Khamis Al Mansoori donated Dh500,000 each.
Residents who wish to contribute may send SMS messages to 6670 (Dh1,000), 6678 (Dh500), 6683 (Dh100) and 6658 (Dh50). They may also call 8005-MAAN for volunteering and in-kind and financial contributions above Dh1,000. They may send messages via WhatsApp on 0543055366.
