More than 23 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and over 800,000 have died, according to global trackers on Friday.
Global recoveries stand at over 15.6 million.
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
The United States has suffered the most deaths, followed by Brazil, Mexico and India.
Earlier today, UAE announced 391 new cases and one death, taking the toll to 370.
Authorities have shown concern over the recent rise in cases due to non-compliance to safety measures. Officials have warned about the return of a selective sterilisation programme and even new penalties to deter people from violating precautionary measures - and curb the virus spread.
