Dubai's General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs announced the launch of an online form where valid UAE residency visa holders - stranded overseas - can apply for an entry permit.
Earlier this year, UAE launched a special service for residents who were stranded abroad after flights were suspended around the world due to the coronavirus outbreak.
In a tweet on Friday night, GDRFA asked residents to apply on this link to get permission to return - before booking their ticket - to the country.

Residents' return depends on local travel restrictions and availability of flights. On arrival, residents will have to undergo a coronavirus test and self-quarantine themselves at home for 14 days (expenses for quarantining elsewhere must be borne by residents).
The UAE is aiming to facilitate the return of 200,000 residents.
