With India set to start evacuation of stranded nationals from May 7, Air India Express will reopen its offices in the UAE from Tuesday morning.

As travel restrictions were in place, the airline's offices in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain were temporarily shut until Monday.

Passengers will be allotted air tickets as per the list compiled by Indian missions.

"We will be open from 9am to 3pm. If needed, the closing hours can be extended as per demand," the Abu Dhabi office of Air India Express said.

Dubai and Sharjah offices will also be open from Tuesday.

As per the Indian government announcement, 'non-scheduled commercial flights' will be arranged for travel. There is no clarity on the timing of flights on May 7 and the mode of payment.

"Usually non-scheduled flights are not entered into system. We will get full details only by Tuesday."
