The Bahrain health ministry has reported 438 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 552 recoveries.
Of the new cases, 135 were among expatriate workers, 299 were contacts of active cases, and four were travel related. 
MoH also reported seven deaths, taking the death toll to 271.
As many as 10,537 Covid-19 tests were carried out on October 9, the ministry said, taking the total number of recoveries to 70,406.
There are currently 62 Covid-19 cases in a critical condition with 117 active cases receiving treatment. 4,121 cases are stable out of a total of 4,183 active cases.
