Now you will need to take a screenshot of the approved movement permit in order to avoid any legal action, the Dubai Police has announced.
Sharing the announcement on its official Twitter handle the Dubai Media Office tweeted: "@DubaiPoliceHQ: A screenshot of the approved Movement Permit, be it a journey by car or on foot, must be kept by all members of the general public once they leave their homes to avoid legal action. To register: https://dxbpermit.gov.ae
Previously, individuals seeking permission to leave their homes during the period of expanded round-the-clock sterilisation operations were just required to register themselves on the website. However, in a new advisory, the Dubai Media office added that members of the public must also take a screenshot of the approved movement permit in order to avoid any legal proceedings.
Dubai began a two-week, 24-hour sterilization drive on Saturday evening. During this period, the authorities have enforced strict restrictions on residents' movement, with legal action being taken against violators.
A statement issued by The Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management stated that members of the general public seeking permission to leave their homes for essential purposes during the period of expanded sterilisation operations should register themselves first on the website https://dxbpermit.gov.ae/home
