Dubai Police have announced restriction on the movement of all kinds of vehicles in the emirate for 24 hours from 8pm onwards on Saturday, April 4, 2020. The announcement regarding the same was posted by the authority on their official Facebook page.

Work will go on at food outlets, supermarkets and pharmacies in addition to the other vital sectors as announced by the authorities earlier.
The Director General of the department of operations of Dubai Police confirmed that this restriction is part of efforts to maintain the health and safety of UAE residents and to accelerate the completion of sterilisation under the UAE's national programme.
Security patrols and the electronic control techniques will be used in the emirate of Dubai in order to ensure that everyone is abiding by the rules and regulations of the National Sterilization Programme and legal action is to be taken against people in cases of non-abidance.
The 999 phone services will continue to receive and support all emergency calls, along with the call center 901 for non-emergency situations.
All citizens and residents have been urged to stay home and to comply with the protective measures and instructions with regards to the prevention and spread of the coronavirus.
