Combating coronavirus: Sheikh Mohamed leads by example, exchanges Eid greetings virtually

UAE residents have also been advised to avoid gatherings and meetings during Eid Al Fitr.

Family members don't need to be physically together to have Eid fun; they can connect virtually and spend quality time and share some laughs. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has shared a video proving just this.

In the video posted on his Instagram account, Sheikh Mohamed and several children - presumably from his immediate family - can be seen connecting with Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed over a video call. Sheikh Tahnoun, too, is seen with several children and the two families can be heard exchanging pleasantries and some light-hearted conversations.
Sharing several photos of the interaction on his Twitter account, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed tweeted: "During a video call, I had a great conversation with Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohamed. Let us continue to stay the course and get through this period together as safely as we can. Once again, I wish you and your families a healthy and blessed Eid Al Fitr."
UAE residents have been advised to avoid gatherings and meetings during Eid Al Fitr. Mosques and musallahs (open prayer spaces) remain closed and the faithful have been asked to perform Eid prayers individually or with their immediate families at home.
A #StayHome campaign called #WeAreResponsible drives home the importance of adhering to precautionary measures.
