Establishments operating in yachts and boats rental, as well as organising marine trips, will be allowed to resume their activities, the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has announced.

These establishments should adhere to the requirements of the border and coast guards, and consider capacity marine transportation means, it pointed out. Also, they should follow the regulations adopted in the country to ensure public health and safety, the department underlined.

The department confirmed that the decision came after making sure that it does not oppose preventive measures against the outbreak of the Covid-19 coronavirus. It noted that inspection campaigns will be carried out on these activities to verify their compliance with the instructions issued.

Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD chairman, said that the decision to allow the establishments operating in the yachts and boats rental as well as organising marine trips to work again was taken following a study and analysis carried out by the department in cooperation with the authorities concerned. "SEDD is concerned about the safety of everyone to ensure public health," he pointed out.
