The department of economic development has busted a mobile pharmacy selling sub-standard masks and gloves that were found to be of unknown origin.

"Staff inspectors rushed to the reported site in Al Dheit South area after being alerted," said Faisal Alyoon, manager, control and trade protection department.
A vehicle, packed with masks, gloves, hand sanitisers and some plastic tools, was found stationed at the location, he added."Around 200 masks, 2,500 gloves, sanitisers and other stuff were seized."
When asked, the owner of the car said he had already sold some masks, gloves and hand sanitisers over the last few days.
"The vehicle, as per the trade licence the man has, was only for selling foodstuff, and had already expired in 2018."
"Legal action will be taken against the violators."
Alyoon urged the public to buy masks, gloves, hand sanitisers and other stuff only from trusted sources.
"Check the trade licence of the seller first to be sure that his activity is monitored and under control."
Dr Abdul Rahman Al Shayeb, director-general of the department, expressed his sincere gratitude to the Emirati national and honoured him for his commitment and social responsibility.
"All members of the society are urged to show cooperation with the bodies concerned to curb such illegal practices."
