Private sector companies in Abu Dhabi may now have 60 per cent of its staff working from office, it was announced on Monday. The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (DED) has issued a circular to this effect to private sector firms.

High-risk employees are required to work remotely.
The Abu Dhabi DED has detailed precautionary measures that must be adopted to keep employees safe from Covid-19. These include conducting body temperature checks on all employees and visitors; ensuring mandatory wearing of face masks and gloves; ensuring a 2-metre social distance between employees; and closing all social spaces.
