Bringing Eid Al Fitr joy to Dubai kids affected by the pandemic, the health ministry distributed gifts to 336 children who were staying in its quarantine buildings.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (Mohap) partnered with Dar Al Ber Society to spread happiness among the youth as part of an initiative called 'Eid joy . we'll never forget you'.
Dr Aisha Suhail, director of the primary health care department, said: "The initiative, which is launched by Mohap's Maternal and Child Health section, reflects the meanings of social and humanitarian responsibility and it aims to promote the values of giving and social solidarity.'
The ministry also seeks to alleviate any psychological burden they may be experiencing during their stay in quarantine, Dr Suhail added.
In these facilities, the youth have been receiving world-class healthcare and psychological support.
The children and their families hailed the efforts of the medical staff and the rest of the government's team, thanking everyone not only for taking care of them but also for ensuring that they get to feel the spirit of Eid.
Iman Harib, director of social protection department at the Ministry of Community Development, said: "Our aim is to support children in quarantine and to help them overcome these challenging times, as this would help reinforce their determination to get through this crisis."
