Workers can be "self-employed, remote workers of technology firms located elsewhere.

While the world is slowly opening up amid the Covid-19 pandemic, there is a scenic coastal city in South Carolina offering $2,000 (approx. Dh7,346) to draw new talent to relocate there.

Savannah in Georgia, US, has put in place a financial incentive program that will pay qualified technology workers ready to move to the area. According to reports in MSN, workers can be "self-employed, remote workers of technology firms located elsewhere, or relocating to take a position with a technology company in the region."

To move to the city with charming architecture, vibrant cultural, culinary, and arts scenes, qualified candidates require three years of experience in the tech sector.

Besides this, they must relocate to Chatham County with a one-year rental lease, or purchase a property in the area and live there for a minimum of one month before applying for funding.
