Al Ansari Exchange, the UAE-based foreign exchange and worldwide money transfer company, announced today the donation of Dh1 million in support of 'Education Uninterrupted' campaign launched by the UAE Ministry of Education and Dubai Cares. Al Ansari Exchange's donation will go towards supporting children and youth from national and non-national low-income families in the UAE whose education has been impacted by Covid-19 pandemic outbreak.

Speaking about the importance of giving and solidarity within the community amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Dr. Tariq Al Gurg, Chief Executive Officer at Dubai Cares and Member of its Board of Directors said: "We are very grateful to Al Ansari Exchange, whose generosity continues to leave positive mark on the well-being of communities. Today's contribution to Education Uninterrupted campaign truly reflects the deeply-rooted values of Al Ansari Exchange in giving back to the UAE community despite the critical times that we are facing during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is imperative to remember that today's children are tomorrow's doctors, researchers, teachers and leaders. We should ensure that in times like these, learning should not be interrupted and education has to continue in a new form through distance learning."

Rashed Al Ansari, Chief Executive Officer of Ansari Exchange said: "Our lives have been disrupted since the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak. With the closure of schools, children and their families had to quickly adapt to e-learning with some more vulnerable to these changes than others, as they can't afford access to the technology. Our donation towards 'Education Uninterrupted' is in line with Al Ansari Exchange's ongoing efforts to support the local communities and those in need during these challenging times. I am glad that the Ministry of Education and Dubai Cares have jointly rolled out this nationwide campaign to highlight such important need."

'Education Uninterrupted' is in line the government's decision to extend distance learning until the end of the academic year in June and calls on the UAE community to make donations to support children from national and non-national low-income families who can't afford to purchase a computer, laptop or tablet, so that they can join their peers in distance learning from home.
