Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) has launched a multi-language broadcast service through 24 FM radios across the country to assist motorists looking to enter the Capital.

The initiative seeks to raise awareness about important measures to be followed by drivers before they reach security checkpoints on the emirate’s main roads.
According to the authority, the first-of-its-kind, 24/7 FM service in the UAE is available in four languages: Arabic, English, Urdu and Malayalam and allows motorists to listen to instructions 200 metres before reaching the inspection checkpoint.
Important measures for motorists include reducing speed, lowering headlights, and adhering to lane discipline.
No more than three non-family passengers can travel in the same vehicle, and face masks should be worn by all.
The occupants of every vehicle must present their Emirates ID and PCR test result on the Al Hosn app. They should also disclose their destination if arriving through any of the national airports.
Photography is strictly prohibited at security points.
The emergency broadcast technology via FM radio is a pioneering techniques and will introduce motorists to valuable information such as traffic jams or serious accidents.
It can also warn of weather conditions, which would help ensure safety on the road and reduction of traffic accidents.
