Pre-booking through the SmartHub platform is required for entry to the beaches and public parks.

Visitors to the reopened public beaches and parks don't require to show a Covid-negative test result to access the facilities, it was announced on Friday.

Abu Dhabi Media Office, in a tweet, announced the updated procedure to access the facilities. "Showing a negative COVID-19 test result is no longer required to access re-opened public beaches and parks in #AbuDhabi," it said.

On Thursday, the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) in Abu Dhabi announced that following an extensive period of sterilisation, some of the public beaches and parks in the emirate would be reopened from Friday.

The facilities that reopened on Friday include Hudayriat Beach and Corniche Beach in Abu Dhabi, and Al Mirfa Beach in Al Dhafra. Umm Al Emarat Park and Khalifa Park in Abu Dhabi, Al Sulaimi Park in Al Ain and Madinat Zayed in Al Dhafra are also open for visitors. However, pre-booking through the SmartHub platform is required for entry to the beaches and public parks.
