Dubai - The Crown Prince of Dubai has put several measures in place to curb the spread of Covid-19.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, is prioritising the wellbeing of his people throughout the coronavirus, Covid-19 pandemic.
He has put the following measures in place to curb the spread of Covid-19 as well as reassure the public that the UAE government cares about their safety and the safety of Emirates'.

Sheikh Hamdan issued resolution No.18 of 2020 - To establish a centre for disease and epidemics "The Disease and Epidemic Control Centre". He mentioned that the center would develop a rapid intervention plan in coordination with the public and private sectors.
The Crown Prince of Dubai praised the dedicated staff who are the "first line of defence" in the fight to curb Covid-19. He tweeted the following "Our first line of defence. Thank you for all your efforts."


Sheikh Hamdan constantly shares and emphasizes on the importance of staying at home. He recently shared a message which stated "This pandemic is a very real threat to each and every one of us, our families and friends. The only way to guarantee that we safeguard the wellbeing of our loved ones is to ACT now, TOGETHER and WITHOUT exceptions. Stay home"


Sheikh Hamdan recently launched 'Your City Needs You', which is a volunteering campaign through the Day for Dubai app. The app is meant to spead the values of volunteerism as a humanitarian. The app is available for all residents to volunteer in areas of their expertise.


Injecting new equity into the Emirates airline to assist with overcoming the Covid-19 crisis. He stated the following in a recent tweet:
"@Emirates, our national carrier, positioned Dubai as an global travel hub and has great strategic value as one of the main pillars of Dubai's economy, as well as the wider economy of the UAE. We will announce further details about the equity injection and more measures soon."


Sheikh Hamdan shared a message to reduce the fear and anxiety that the Covid-19 pandemic has caused. He assured the public that their safety is a priority.
