The UAE has seen a 30 per cent rise in coronavirus infections among citizens recently and health authorities are asking people to avoid crowds and family gatherings.
After four consecutive days of zero deaths and Wednesday's two, Thursday's health briefing announced one death, 354 recoveries and 239 new cases.
Social distancing is important and it is unwise for the community to lower their guard, health officials said as the country's total cases touched 61,845 following more than five million tests.

Meanwhile, 5,000 volunteers in Abu Dhabi received their first jabs of an experimental vaccine being developed by China's Sinopharm.
Globally, cases crossed 19 million on Thursday, with over 700,000 deaths as the World Health Organisation made a pitch for a vaccine to be made accessible to all people.
The frenetic race to develop a Covid-19 vaccine has intensified safety concerns about inoculation campaigns, prompting governments and drugmakers to raise awareness to ensure their efforts to beat the coronavirus aren't derailed by public distrust. There are more than 200 vaccine candidates in development globally, including more than 20 in human clinical trials. US President Donald Trump has vowed to have a shot ready before year's end, although they typically take 10 years or longer to develop and test for safety and effectiveness.
