The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Wednesday reported 571 new cases of Covid-19 coronavirus, along with new 427 recoveries.
This has bought the total number of cases to 36,359 in the country and the total recoveries to 19,153.
The health ministry also announced the death of one person as a result of the illness, bringing the total number of deaths to 270 in the country.
With rapid setting up of testing centres across the country, and strict implementation of preventive guidelines, the UAE has kept the spike in new cases in check.

More than 2 million Covid-19 tests have been carried out so far, and mass screening in Abu Dhabi this week, following a movement ban, is set to further bring down the number of cases.

In Dubai, private sector offices and shopping malls opened to 100 per cent capacity today, with strict preventive guidelines in place.

Working hours for companies and operating hours of malls should fall within the timings permitted for public movement, which are currently between 6am and 11pm. Shopping malls have the freedom to choose any set of operating hours within the period in which public movement is permitted.
