Police in UAE rubbished rumours about quarantining a household in the country after they came in contact with an allegedly infected delivery person.
Ajman Police issued a statement on Monday refuting rumours about implementing quarantine measures on a house in Ajman due to coming into contact with an infected delivery person.

Brigadier Abdullah Saif Al Matroushi, Director-General of Police Operations at Ajman Police, has denied this report circulating online, especially on WhatsApp.
Al Matroushi stressed that police will take legal action against those spreading fake news, and find the person who started this rumour.

He called on the public to not share news from unverified sources and only get news from official and authentic sources.
'Such rumours make people panic, which negatively affects the whole society," he lamented.
