His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Sunday chaired a cabinet meeting remotely via video conferencing.

In a picture that went viral on social media, Sheikh Mohammed can be seen chairing the meeting with several ministers who appear on a large screen.

The virtual meeting was carried out as a preventive measure to protect everyone from the Covid-19 coronavirus.

The UAE has taken several steps to contain the disease, including a sanitisation across roads, virtual learning across schools, remote working for government departments, and shutting down of cinema halls and other such locations where people gather in large numbers.
