Dubai Entertainments on Sunday announced temporary closure of its four theme parks as part of safety drive against coronavirus.
The company announced temporary suspension of operations until the end of this month.
"Following the direction of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing and as part of our commitment to the health and safety of our guests and employees we have temporarily suspended operations at our theme parks: Motiongate Dubai, Legoland Dubai, Legoland Waterpark Dubai and Bollywood Parks Dubai until March 31, or at such time the situation will be re-evaluated," it said in a statement posted on the Dubai Financial Market, where it is listed.
"We will continue to monitor these evolving conditions and will follow the most current guidance from the relevant authorities," said the statement.

As a result of closure, its shares plunged six per cent on Sunday morning.
DXB Entertainments reported a net loss of Dh855 million for 2019 due to fall in visitor attendance and visitor spend.
Earlier, Dubai cancelled all scheduled events hosted by hotels and entertainment destinations in line with the ongoing efforts to safeguard public health against Covid-19.
IMG Worlds of Adventure also announced temporary closure in line with preventive measure for Covid-19. The popular entertainment destination will be closed till March 31, 2020.
In a statement issued today, IMG said:
'The DED has directed us to temporarily suspend our activities in response to this pandemic issue. This decision has taken into the well-being of our guests and team members after a careful consideration of this present situation. This is not an easy decision but this is best way to cope with the rapidly evolving situation as a precautionary measure. We are continuously monitoring the situation.
