There are approximately 1.6 million Pakistanis currently living in the UAE.

The Consulate General of Pakistan - with the help of community members - is distributing food among those who have been laid off by their companies due to coronavirus, Covid-19, impact in UAE.

The aid is also being provided to Pakistani citizens, who have been stranded in the UAE due to suspension of flights between the UAE and Pakistan.

"The Consulate General of Pakistan with the help of few community members is distributing dried ration to needy Pakistanis who are stranded due to closure of flights or have been laid off by their companies," said a statement issued by Consulate on Thursday.

The consulate added that those people who want to help it in this noble cause or  know of people in distress - may contact the Consulate General at WhatsApp number 00971-56-3962911 or email: parepdubai@mofa.gov.pk.

The Consulate will approach these individuals themselves for delivery of rations or schedule a call at a specific time.

There are approximately 1.6 million Pakistanis currently living in the UAE.

The consulate also helped in repatriation of over 100 Pakistanis this week who were stranded at Dubai International airport due to flight suspensions.
