The Dubai Police have arrested a woman who ignored all the precautionary measures and health standards implemented in the country to fight the spread of Covid-19. The woman, said to be a European of Arab origin, posted a video on social media, criticising the measures implemented by the authorities. She ignored the directive that urges residents to stay home.

According to the Dubai Media Office, the police have referred the woman to the federal public prosecution for further legal procedures.
The police explained that residents must not violate any of the safety precautions implemented by the authorities. Violations are punishable with a fine of between Dh200,000 and Dh1 million and/or imprisonment.
On Sunday, the Dubai Police had arrested a young man who filmed himself violating the government order to avoid public spaces. The youth - also said to be a European - posted the video in which he is seen at a beach, ignoring the instructions of a police patrol and "mocking the precautionary measures" issued by health authorities.
