Dine-in services have been suspended at restaurants, cafes and hotels in Umm Al Quwain temporarily as a precautionary measure against the spread of Covid-19. Residents can opt for takeaways and home deliveries.
Serving shishas also has been banned.
This was one of the several measures announced by the Umm Al Quwain Executive Council to reduce the risk of infection.
Other measures are:
> Cinemas are suspended.
> All social and cultural events have been suspended until further notice. This includes all kinds of gatherings in hotels, sports halls, electronic games halls and parks.
> Functions, lectures, workshops and training courses have been suspended.
> Schools ordered to follow disinfection protocol.
> Salon staff asked to wear face masks and gloves. Hand sanitisers made mandatory at entrances of the salons.
> Staff at malls must clean shopping trolleys after use.
