The goal-scoring striker is suffering from a muscle injury sustained during the Champions League quarter-final loss to Real Madrid
In a bid to combat the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus in the emirate, residents of the popular residential area were told the area would be closed to the public. However, it is unclear when the closure will come into effect.
According to a circular shared with management companies in Dubai Marina, Emaar Master Communities has instructed residents that the promenade area would be closed as part of UAE's Stay Safe, Stay Home campaign. Khaleej Times has reached out to Emaar for comments.
The latest measures come as the number of confirmed cases in the UAE increased by 85 on Wednesday to reach 333 in total.
