The Justice and Islamic Affairs Minister of Bahrain Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa said that all Umrah trips, by land and air, have been suspended. (Coronavirus outbreak: All the latest updates)
The decision is based on instructions from Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Haj and Umrah to suspend entry to the Kingdom to perform Umrah and or to visit the holy city of Medinah until further notice.

Shaikh Khalid stressed that all Umrah operators should comply with the decision, highlighting that it was among the precautionary measures taken to ensure the safety of citizens and residents and to combat the coronavirus.
