The UAE has implemented strict measures to keep its residents safe from the Covid-19 coronavirus. These include shutting down of shopping malls and commercial centres, halting of flights, and asking restaurants to only offer home-delivery service. The police are patrolling the streets, urging residents to stay home as much as possible.

Doctors, nurses and paramedics are working round the clock to provide the best care to patients.

A unique initiative has also been launched by a hospital chain in India. Apollo Hospitals has developed a self-assessment bot for people to check if they are at risk of contracting the coronavirus.

The bot which asks the user his/her age, gender, what types of ailments one is suffering from and advises whether to visit a hospital. It, however, states that its analysis "should not be taken as medical advice". It also tells you whether you should get a scan done or not.

You can try out the bot here.

The bot asks you your age, gender, body temperature, then asks if your suffering from symptoms such as dry cough, sneezing, sore throat, or weakness, and the user's travel history.
