If Dubai is anything it's undoubtedly the epitome of glitz and glamour. And the SAWE IIE Awards just prove that.
The Society of Acknowledgment in Work Excellence (SAWE) held a press conference earlier today for the Vimal Elaichi SAWE IIEA 2019 in Hilton Dubai at Al Habtoor City. The Society esteems itself in honouring the high achievers from different walks of life from the region to inspire and motivate others to reach for the stars.
They bring India International Excellence Awards (IIEA) to the UAE and the press meet was held ahead of the awards ceremony happening tonight.
The awards will be hosted by none other than Anil Kapoor and Chitrangda Singh along with TV hosts Mandira Bedi and Aman Verma.
Some of the celebrities in attendance in at the conference were actresses Priya Banerjee, Sana Khan, Elli Avram, music composer duo Sachet Tandon and Parampara Thakur and choreographer Melvin Louis.
When asked about the red carpet ceremony Mr. Ajay Murthi, the event organizer and owner of Orange Events International, said, "SAWE was created with the idea to reward and recognize people who are different. Everyone needs motivation in life. Motivation makes a lot of difference in life and that's why we created SAWE."
Priya Banerjee of Jazbaa fame thought very highly of the initiative. "I think Ajay is doing a great thing. When you're recognized and feel motivated you do great things. You want to work harder and improve yourself. So it's a great platform," she said.
Swedish actress Elli Avram was very excited to be among the ones being honoured with an award. "I feel so grateful. Being invited and getting awarded feels unreal. As a young girl I used to sit in my room and dream about one day being a Bollywood actress. The journey has been long but I have achieved my dream. And to now be awarded, I feel so humbled," the actress asserts. "It really motivates you during those days when you are struggling and this will inspire all the youngsters out there."
Parampara felt honoured to be there. "This is our first award so it's very special. It's a new world and we feel really honoured to be here. It's a great feeling to have people appreciate your creation," she commented.
Melvin Louis feels awards like the SAWE validates peoples hard work. "It's a great morale booster and I'm very happy this is happening."
Sana Khan seconds that by saying the validation you get is important. "It feels amazing to be recognised and the validation you get from people is really important. That's what makes you work even more harder."
Before Parampara and Sachet rushed out for a sound check for tonights show, he addressed their performance for the night saying he was very excited for their 'hatke performance.'
The Vimal Elaichi SAWE IIE 2019 Awards ceremony will be held at Armani Hotel tonight (September 14) in Burj Khalifa at 6.30pm.
