What first strikes you about the prom-themed video to Ariana Grande-Justin Bieber's first musical collaboration, Stuck With U, is a shout out to the warmth and comfort of togetherness. It's obvious that the song and video are telling us - cherish your time with your loved ones while you are stuck in quarantine or lockdown amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
Stuck With U will benefit the First Responders Children's Foundation in the United States, funding educational grants and scholarships for the children of frontline workers.
Created and directed by Rory Kramer, Alfredo Flores, Grande, Bieber and Scooter Braun, the video features a montage of fan shots interwoven with sweet clips of Justin and his wife Hailey Bieber, as well as Ariana (whose pet doggie also makes an appearance). Justin had earlier invited fans who couldn't go to prom to tweet him videos of themselves of how they would have dressed up and what they would have danced to. We also spotted Michael Buble!
Another celebrity cameo is Big Cat Rescue founder Carole Baskin, whose clip Ariana reportedly didn't approve of. According to People magazine, when Justin tried to hype up the Stuck With U video by tweeting a clip of Baskin and her husband dancing, Ariana responded, "for the record, I did not allow or approve this clip to be in the actual video. but. nonetheless. it exists and that's ..... unique."
Stuck With U is a feel-good track and video, both an eye-opener and a pick-me-up during these strange times for the world.
And we guess the burning question on many people's lips is - who is the guy in the hoodie at the end hugging Ariana? Enjoy the video.
