Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth split up after less than a year

The pair who tied the knot in December 2018, have called it quits.

The celeb world is a place where break-ups and hook-ups are equally common. While famous couples may gush (often publicly and on social media) over each other at the beginning of a relationship or marriage, it doesn't really come as a surprise to the more cynical of us when we hear of a split.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have gone their separate ways after less than a year of marriage, as reported by the Associated Press. A rep for Miley stated that the pair decided it was best to take a break while they focused on themselves and their careers. The rep also said that they will be "dedicated parents to all of their animals they share" and that they have requested privacy.
News of their split was first published on Saturday by People magazine. The news came as Miley was spotted getting cosy with Brody Jenner's ex wife, Kaitlynn Carter, during a girls' getaway to Lake Como, Italy, on Friday, according to a report in New Straits Times.
Actress-singer and former teen idol Miley, 27, who rose to fame in Disney's Hannah Montana, first began dating Hunger Games actor Liam, 29, while filming The Last Song, a poignant teen romance based on the novel of the same name by bestelling author Nicholas Sparks.
The Cyrus-Hemsworth love story, like many celebrity romances, has had its fair share of ups and downs. The stars have been an on-again, off-again couple for more than ten years. They were first engaged from May 2012 until September 2013, then rekindled their relationship in March 2016, and got engaged again that October. They married in December 2018.
Miley has dated a few famous faces in the past, like Teen Wolf's Tyler Posey, and model and actor Justin Gaston; she also claimed to have dated Nick Jonas, while according to US Magazine, Liam has been linked to actresses Amanda Bynes, Mad Men's January Jones and Baby Driver's Eiza Gonzalez.
We don't know what the future holds for this former couple, but we do hope they find happiness and peace in their personal lives soon.
