In support of the people of Lebanon, Downtown Dubai will see an incredible gathering of local musical talent on November 3.

DXB4BEY, a one day music festival, will be live streamed from Dubai Opera on more than 50 Facebook pages including MTV Lebanon and Virgin Megastores and will be hosted by regionally-based comedian Wonho Chung.

“This was an unimaginable tragedy but in this time we have seen the beauty and resilience of the Lebanese people. Inspired by their strength, we are bringing the UAE’s music community together to use our voices to sustain the momentum of relief efforts happening as we speak,” said Niki Mukhi, local musician and one of the organisers of this concert.

Featuring some of the city’s well-known names including Kris Fade, Layla Kardan and Danny Aridi, this initiative is aimed at raising funds for the Emirates Red Crescent. The stream will have a ‘Donate’ link where you can contribute funds directly to support the charity’s humanitarian efforts in Beirut.

DXB4BEY aims to generate 5m streams and raise Dh1m for the Emirates Red Crescent in one day. We have no doubt that residents of the UAE and people around the world will support the cause and it should definitely make for a special and significant evening.

Event host Wonho Chung said ‘2020 has been a difficult year for almost everyone, but for the people of Beirut, the catastrophe that took place on the 4th of August 2020, is beyond belief and words. Sometimes in our darkest hours, art and music provide a beacon of light and hope to us as people who share this earth; preserving our compassion and humanity. It is my hope that our little gesture can help the people of Beirut in any way we can, even the smallest of actions can go a long way, we are stronger when we stand untied, against anyone and anything.’
