Recounting Paris Hilton’s life in the heiress’ own words, her time in the spotlight has definitely not been as ‘simple’ as her public persona may sometimes suggest.

News of the World on Netflix. Tom Hanks is back in business in this Paul Greengrass-directed Western. Set shortly after the American Civil War, former newspaper printer and Confederate army captain Jefferson Kidd (Hanks) scratches together a living travelling from small town to small town reading out the news from across the country. For a 10 cents admission fee, his soirees are very popular. During a journey, he discovers a German child (Helena Zengel) who has been raised by Indigenous Americans and was on her way back to her biological family when the carriage taking her there overturned killing all other passengers. Hanks decides to transport her the rest of the way.


James May: Oh Cook! on Prime Video. Famed for his knowledge on cars, The Grand Tour’s James May turns his hand to cooking in this new Prime show set in a British home’s kitchen. Can he cook? No. Though that doesn’t stop the engineering enthusiast imparting all he has recently learnt for the programme, hoping to awaken a culinary streak in those on less than nodding terms with the stove.

Alex Rider on StarzPlay. Alex Rider is a London based teenager who has unknowingly been trained since childhood for the dangerous world of espionage. Following his uncle’s mysterious death, Alex begins a quest for answers that leads him into a dark world of secrets. He comes to realise that his uncle wasn’t the man he thought he was and that Alex himself is expected to follow in his footsteps. Catch the series based on the outrageously popular YA novels now.


WandaVision on OSN streaming. The biggest show to hit OSN in recent times, WandaVision is a blend of classic television and the epic Marvel Cinematic Universe. Funny, mysterious and action-packed, this nine-part series should be on everyone’s watch list this month. With Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany as Vision, the show tells the story of two super-powered beings living idealised suburban lives before beginning to suspect that everything is not as it seems. As much as Wanda may try to fit in and conceal her powers from neighbors, domestic mishaps keep on calling her to action!

River Where the Moon Rises on Viu. A highly anticipated Korean period romance drama series has just launched. River Where the Moon Rises is adapted from a folktale recorded in The History of the Three Kingdoms and based on Princess Pyeonggang (Kim So Hyun) and her General, On Dal (Ji Soo). Born a princess but raised a soldier, young Pyeonggang sets out on a tour of the kingdom with her mother, the Empress, during which they arrive at a village where they meet General On Hyeop and his son, On Dal. The story follows Pyeonggang’s quest to uncover dark and dangerous conspiracies in the kingdom.
